Zinnia is Jon’s dog. She follows him everywhere, But on the nights when I get up to go downstairs to the bathroom Zinnia, comes with me.
We’ve been doing this together since we got her. I used to wake up to take her out before she was old enough to get through the night without peeing. She no longer needs to go out during the night, but sometimes I do.
Fate sleeps downstairs on the couch or chair at night but never during the day. And she never stirs when we come down. Even when Zinnia picks up a toy and brings it to Fate she doesn’t move.
The dogs are different at night.
I always make sure to give Fate a kiss on the head before going back upstairs with Zinnia following me.
