Corona Kimono April 12, 2020

Corona Kimono

It was Emily’s words, ” Lets Practice Being Ourselves” that helped me decide to stitch my thread drawings on the Kimono that Ann gave me.

I was my intention to do a drawing everyday, but I skipped yesterday.  I just needed a day off.

For today’s drawing, I did a version of the Muscle Woman that I made on the potholder for Julz and then did my version of Emily’s saying.  (I actually thought Be Your Original Self were the words that Emily used until I looked again).

I do feel like dealing with the coronavirus has made me see myself more clearly.  It’s also given me perspective about what and who is important to me.  And has made me question the kind of person I really want to be.

Although I haven’t landed in a place of complete understanding about these questions yet, I can see and feel changes happening inside of me.

And it’s not that I’m becoming someone else, just more of my true self.

Emily Gold’s words and drawing that inspired me.
My Corona Kimono so far.
