Still Again, A Thirty Second Meditation

The woods were so quiet and still when I entered them.  The rain had not yet begun, and there wasn’t even the slightest breeze moving the air.  The muffled knocking of a woodpecker in the distance only lasted a moment and the water had even stopped moving in the small stream that surfaces on one side of the path.

As we got to the shallow seasonal pond, I squatted down to take a picture of the reflection of the trees and sky when Fate came beside me and took a drink, causing ripples to move across the still water.

I instinctively switched my iPhone from photo to video and took this video.

If you watch it for the whole 34 seconds you will see the reflected trees slow their quivering and become as still again.
