Walking With The Trees and Wildflowers

The trees welcomed us as we passed by them on our walk through the woods.

I spotted a few Starflowers growing right in the path.

And I saw two flowers that I came across on my walk with Carol and Monika last week.  Monika told me that this little purple flower is a wild geranium…

…and this one is a Foamflower.

One path where I walk is covered with ferns this time of year.  They flow like water brushing up against my legs, tickling me.  When I look back at them after passing through, it’s as if I was never there.

  1. Those ferns remind me of home and walking in the Wisconsin woods with my daddy. He knew so much about the forest and taught me a lot. Out here on the Colorado prairie we don’t have the beautiful ferns of home but right now the choya and the sun cactus are in full bloom, nourished by the monsoon like rains we have been having. No matter where you go Mother Nature puts on a beautiful display of color and light! Thank you for the lovely photos!

    1. I’ve never seen the cacuts blooming Josie, someday I would love to be able to see that. I get a beautiful picture of your and your father walking together. Thank you for that.

  2. I love this time of year. Everything is so fresh and green!
Thanks for sharing this beautiful walk through your woods, Maria.

  3. Very peaceful Maria. I miss walking in the woods, just been to busy. My dahlias are beginning to bloom, thank you.
