Garden Scrap Potholders For Sale

Fate and my Garden Scrap Potholders for sale in my Etsy Shop. (The potholders not Fate)

This time of year we always have fresh flowers from the garden in the house.  As some start to die, I pull them out of the vases (feed them to the donkeys) and rearrange the ones that are still alive creating whole new bouquets.

That’s, in a way, what I’ve done with this new batch of potholders.  I sorted through my scrap bin, pulling out the pieces of fabric that were just too small to sew and rearranged the rest into potholders.

They all have flowers in them keeping the garden theme.

My Garden Scrap Potholders are for sale in my Etsy Shop. They’re $18 each + $5 shipping for one or more.  You can see them all and buy them here.

Cherries and Bows The fabric with the cherries on it comes from an old handmade apron.

  1. First, what an adorable photo of Fate. Second, I really like the comparison of how you prune your bouquets and how you prune your scraps. Wonderful. I’ve been making a lot of scrappy, whatever happens happens quilt blocks during COVID and it has brought me so much joy. I see why you keep coming back to the potholders, where art and function meet.

    1. It is very satisfying isn’t it Trish. I think there’s something in your making scrappy and COVID. Maybe it’s about not having so much control, about allowing and accepting.
