Maria, I see that you are still using my Lilac shoe box. It dates back to 1960’s when I was a young bride and still had time for myself. I had this sturdy shoe box and thought it would be a nice storage box. I glued the lilac raping paper onto the box and it held up all those years. It was a good recycling project. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
Uta, I forgot that the box it was from you. I’m so glad to know that. I have a similar one that my grandmother made for me and put sewing supplies in. It’s also from the late 60’s. It’s one of the two things I have from my grandmother. I love the lilac box, I keep my markers in it so use it often. and Imagine it’s still in good shape after all these years.
