A few weeks ago I wrote about finding a spider living in one of the trees in the woods where I walk. It’s a special tree with a perfectly round hole and mushroom creating a lovely doorway.
Ever since I saw the spider I always visit the treed to see if she’s home when I pass by. Yesterday she was.
I love how you check in on her, like visiting a neighbor. She’s much larger than I’d imagined and well colored to hide against the bark of a tree.
She is really big. Last time she was inside the hole and just ran from me. This time she didn’t seem to be afraid of me.
