The Swamp In Early Winter

I started taking videos of the swamp along the path where I walk in the woods in the spring when the Skunk Cabbage was blooming. I didn’t get a video of it in the deep snow, it was still hunting season and I wasn’t walking there.

But there’s still plenty of winter for that.

Today the snow was mostly melted and the ice thin enough for Zinnia to break through.  There are no mosquitos to swat at and no ticks to pick off the dogs once we get back home.  It’s easier to see through the trees to the soft edges of the woods.
