Fate has the most intense eyes I’ve ever seen on a dog. Even more than Red, who moved sheep with his eyes the way Fate can’t.
Maybe it has something to do with her different colors. But there are certain times, like when she’s waiting for me to tell her to “get the sheep” or when I tell her “stay” before eating, that her eyes bore into me.
That look is hard for me to resist.
I imagine that if she did the same to the sheep they would respond. But she doesn’t. She seems to save that look for us humans.
