Like a holiday from winter, yesterday the temperature rose above freezing, the blue sky and sunlight brought color back to the landscape.
Fate, Zinnia, and I took a long walk in the woods. Snow melted from bare branches like Dali’s clocks. It decorated the trees with garland and candy canes.
Today it’s gray and windy again. Snow showers start and end abruptly. But I smile when I think of yesterday. A thin promise of sunshine in all the gray.
