  1. I love all of the pictures of Robin. He would make a great children’s book accompanied by all of the photos you and Jon have taken of him.
Many, many years ago, when I was just a kid I saw a film called So Dear to My Heart. It was about a boy on a farm and his little lamb. I will have to research it so I can share it with you. I remember there was a song in it–“Lavender blue, dilly, dilly, lavender green, you be my king dilly dilly, I’ll be your queen….” I loved that film and it reminds me of Robin. Some memories from the past are very calming.

    1. Jane, I was singing that song the other day. I remember it from a movie, but never remembered the movie it was from. I always loved that song. But I had this idea that the puppet Lambchop was in the movie. I guess that’s how memory works. Lambchop was the lamb I knew as a kid. Now I’m going to look it up. Thank you for this.

  2. Oooh, that “Lavender blue” song is one of the best things about Disney’s live-action Cinderella movie (besides the costumes, and Cate Blanchett). For some reason I didn’t think it was a ‘original’ song, and until I saw the lyrics written above, I didn’t realize how apropos to the storyline. I just love its lullaby quality, and find myself humming it frequently.

    1. I didn’t know it had been revived in this way Amy that nice to hear.I hadn’t heard of that version of Cinderella. All those good actors!
