“Anthem” By Leonard Cohen
“Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That’s how the light gets in”
After posting a picture of the bell outside the back door of our farmhouse, Susie asked for a video of the bell to hear what it sounds like. That gave me the idea to make a video of all the bells at Bedlam Farm.
The bells are really neat
There is something so ritualistic about a bell. I’m not a church goer, but the bell that sounded like a school bell reminded me of this purpose they serve. I find bells such as these so comforting and a reminder of what seemed simplistic so long ago. Really appreciated your sharing of all the bells.
I know what you mean Barb. I once lived in a small apartment in a rural area without a radio or TV (before internet) and the first time I heard the church bells ring, It was more beautiful and comforting than I’d ever imagined it could be. It was a sign that there were other people out there.
Amazing!
Exactly, Maria. I feel the same way.
