I let the chick our of the crate to walk around the barn today. They’re still in a fenced-in area, the same stall that Lori and Robin spent Robin’s early days in.
They were very curious and spend most of the day outside the crate exploring. But when it got dark they were roosting inside the crate. This is something most chickens naturally do. So when we do let them outside, now I feel confident they will go back into the barn and into their crate when it gets dark.
