I got this far on my Sunflowers and Bees quilt before remembering to take a picture. I was a bit stuck after sewing on the old quilt top and polka dots on the right.
So I took out my Gee’s Bend book and looked for a little inspiration. And I found it in a quilt that had a lot of small patterns and then a couple of pieces of fabric with a solid color and one big flower on it. I just loved the way it looked so I did something similar on my quilt.
The photo below is where I ended up for the day. I haven’t sewn it together yet, but I’m pretty sure it will be close to what’s in the picture. After that, I think I’m going to need some solid colors to frame what I have already.
Maybe some of the Liberty fabric framing it? 🙂
