It was a busy back porch this morning. But Brown Hen who spent the night in the coop with the rest of the hens found a place to rest on the Repunzel Chair. I’m not sure how Minnie felt about it since that’s her favorite spot. But that chair seat has sagged and become nest-like over the years.
This afternoon Brown Hen didn’t show up again with the rest of the hens. I looked in the barn where she’s been laying her eggs and sitting on them, but she wasn’t there either. Maybe she’s found another spot to lay.
I’ll have to keep an eye out for her. I thought I was doing her a favor by taking her eggs away, but maybe her instinct is winning out.
You could get some fertilized eggs for her? Then the Amish could have the babies??
