There was a hard frost this morning. Hard enough to hit the dahlias. I wasn’t feeling well last weekend, so I didn’t get to dig them up. I glad I didn’t, I got to enjoy them for a few more days. I can’t complain, it’s been a great year for dahlias and they gave me lots of joy for longer than usual.
The grass will suffer too, so from now on, I’ll be feeding the sheep and donkeys their full portion of hay. They’ll still be able to graze until the snow comes.
Hi Maria – I couldn’t help but think of the curved needles my mom used to use for tying quilts. Here is a link on Amazon – if you haven’t used them before, you will be amazed at how easy they are to use.

Oh good idea Tina, I have a few of them, I’m going to try them out. Thanks for the link!
