It’s not often I get to see a sheep tongue. They generally keep them inside their mouths. But this morning Issachar was licking his chops when he heard me lift the top off the can where I store the alfalfa treats.
The hens decided to stay in the coop since there was a thin layer of snow on the ground. If the wind dies down and the sun makes a showing, maybe they’ll change their minds and come out a little.
Brown Hen was still on the roost when I took this picture. She’s the only hen that sleep that high up, the others used the nesting boxes.
Maria, I am so happy that Issachar gets his alfalfa treats. What a gorgeous boy. What kind of sheep is he again and where did y you get him? I know you have posted this info before but please refresh.
Eileen, Issachar and his twin Asher are a mix of Blueface Leicester, Cormo and Romney. Good wool sheep and big friendly boys.
