This morning I looked out the back door and saw Flo and White Hen drinking together from the birdbath.
Minnie has always been close to the hens. When Jon first brought her to old Bedlam Farm, she used to sleep in the roosting boxes in the barn. And when his rooster Winston was dying, she sat next to him.
Flo never paid much attention to the hens, but just the comfort level between White Hen and Flo makes me believe they are closer to each other than I would have thought.
( Birds don’t come to the birdbath. It is a place for the cats, dogs, hens, and insects to drink from)
