The First Day Of Our Visit

Jon reading to Robin

It was a whirlwind of a day.  Or maybe it’s just that I’m not used to being around a six-year-old who has a lot of energy.  I surely slept well last night.

Robin was a lot of fun into the animals.

She especially oved feeding the chickens and counting the snails in the tank. Today we’ll introduce her to Robin the sheep.  She has the magnet I made of him and was curious about him.

When it got dark Robin showed me where the north star was. Her mother Emma has a great star app called Skyview where you just point your phone at the star or planet and it tells you its name. (Now I have it too)

We’ll be heading out early this morning for breakfast, then apple picking.

I spent some time with the donkeys this morning quietly finding my grounding, getting ready for the day.

  1. Happy you both are enjoying your visit and Robin and her mom are enjoying it too. Nice that you all were able to get together and enjoy this time together. Take care, all.
