The frost was thick in the pasture this morning. I could see it from inside the farmhouse. But it didn’t stop the sheep and donkeys from grazing.
And it faded the dahlias, but they survived another autumn night.
Ice crystals formed on the metal gate, and outlined the leaves and petals of the flowers. It gathered like snow on the flowers gone to seed.

But the sun was breaking through the mist. It warmed up the moth I pulled from the water bucket, brought color back to the leaves and eventually melted the frost.

I love your images. You see the world for real!
Thank you, that’s a lovely compliment.
Wow. Fanny, Fate and the Frost is a fantastic photo! You are so talented in every facet of your art, Maria.
Well Thank you Patricia. 🙂
