I had big plans today. First I’d help Jon with put his raised bed gardens to bed for the winter. Then I’d do the same for my vegetable garden. After that I’d dig up my dahlias.
But at 3pm, after finishing up my vegetable garden, I was tired. I could have worked another few hours and in the past I would have. But today I made a different decision.
The dahlias will still be there next weekend.
I put away the wheelbarrow and shovels, fed the animals and Jon and I went out for a late lunch/early dinner at a new restaurant that opened up in a brewery near us.
Now I’m going to make myself a cup of tea and continue reading Silvia Moreno-Garcia’s new book, The Daughter of Dr. Moreau.
what is in the bottom of the raised beds to support the soil?
Thanks
You’ll have to ask Jon about the raised beds Dave, they are his territory.
