The Animals At The Gate

The sheep and donkeys were at the gate when we got home, braying and baaing as if we’d been gone for weeks and they hadn’t been fed.

The bandage on Lulu’s hoof had come off so I put on a new one.

Matt, our farrier, who broke the abscess on Saturday said we should keep her foot covered for about a week.  He also said the bandage probably wouldn’t stay on for more than a day or two.

Before I replace the bandage I scrape Lulu’s hoof to clean out the mud and manure that lodges there.  She’s been pretty good about it so far.  And I’m sure to give her a treat afterward.
