When our donkey Simon died, our neighbor Vince came to the farm with his backhoe and dug a big hole near the apple tree in the barnyard. He used the backhoe to move Simon into the hole and buried him too.
Then he placed a big rock on the grave.
Now that rock is growing moss. It’s very green and sprouting this time of year. Almost like a small garden.
It’s one of the nicest tombstones I’ve ever seen.
That is so nice. A deserving site for an animal so loved.
