“Flower In The Snow” Potholders

It was the small squares of fabric with flowers on them, that Fran sent me, which inspired me this morning.

I wasn’t thinking of all that color. I wasn’t feeling colorful.  But when I opened the bag of scraps that Karen sent me, the hot colors inside of it worked perfectly with the flowers. Not even spring colors, but almost tropical.

And as the temperature dropped in my studio, the colors kept me warm.  Each one a little sunshine and a just bit of darkness, a stormy cloud, to keep it real.
