Sheep and Chamois And Denim Too

I got back to working on my quilt today. After trimming the top piece of denim that I was questioning the last time I wrote about the quilt, I put a strip of dark blue around the whole thing.

Then I built on the blue and knew at this point I needed a big solid color around it all to give the eye a rest.  There was no question that it needed to be blue.  So I pulled all the old jeans from my bottom shelf and started cutting them up.

It took me some time arranging and rearranging the denim, working with the marks left by the pockets to see how best to use them.   This is where I left it at the end of the day. It may stay the same or change before I sew the denim on.
