Tacking Sheep and Chamois

I got the backing sewn on my quilt today and began tacking it.

I’ve been referring to it as Sheep and Chamois, but I’m not sure if that’s the name of it. I’ll know by the time I’m done working on it.  That’s how it happens.

I’m tacking it with gray yarn that has flecks of red and blue in it.  Not that anyone would see them, but I know they’re there and work perfectly with the rest of the quilt.

It’s pretty heavy because of the denim and the fabric I used on the back.  Not as heavy as a weighted blanket, which can help calm the body and help with sleep,  but I think it can bring that kind of comfort.

I’ve had several people mention that they found the colors of the quilt soothing.  And I have to admit that was one of the reasons I wanted to work with them.  The quilt is soothing to create.
