“Eternity In An Hour”

A strand of hay caught on the fence post

To see a World in a Grain of Sand
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
And Eternity in an hour. – William Blake

Laurie sent me this poem by William Blake in response to my post Sculptures In The Snow. I got chills when I read it. It is so often just what I am trying to say with my photos.

Ice that popped up like a mushroom in the planter in the dahlia garden

  1. That last photo reminds me of a mushroom cloud formed from a nuclear explosion. It’s weird how something so beautiful created by nature can look like something so horrible created by humans.

    1. I can see what you mean Barbara. I didn’t make that connection at all. I was just seeing mushrooms, but then the bomb does create what is known as a mushroom cloud, so that makes sense.
