I designed eight more Cool Cat Potholders today. I listened to jazz (Skyline by Gonzalo Rubacaba) while I was making them to help put me in the right mood. It matters what I listen to when I work. Sometimes I need to hear words, sometimes it’s music, and other times I need silence.
When I’m making the big decisions on a quilt or fabric painting, I usually don’t like to have any interference coming in. It’s too distracting. But sometimes listening to talking or music frees my mind and allows my intuition to surface.
