Fate was back at work in the barnyard this morning. The sheep and donkeys didn’t seem to notice, but I was glad to have her there. Between Liam being old and dying and Fate hobbling around the farm was off balance.
Now the rhythm of the farm is back. I can feel it.
Even though there is a loss with Liam gone, the other animals, behaving as they usually do, fill the space. They show me the natural way of things and how balance is restored.
