The past few days have been so warm that Minnie is spending them on the back porch. She goes out in the morning and comes back in at night. Soon she won’t want to come into the house at all.

I’m wondering if Minnie’s fulfilling post-amputation life hasn’t leant itself as a reassuring example of successful recovery for Jon. She’s certainly the picture of relaxation and contentment.
