I made my Flower and Pollinator Potholders with a linen I found when I was straightening up my linen cupboard.
This is how it works, I’ve had that linen for years and forgot about it. But this day I see and know I want to make it into potholders. Why I was never stuck with this inspiration before I can’t tell you. Why I was inspired that day, I also can’t say.
But I have come to trust that this is how it works. It is why I keep the fabric, linens, hankies, and doilies that people send me no matter how long it takes me to use them. Because I know eventually I will.
As I was looking for fabric from my stash to use with the flowers, I came across the fabric with bees on it. It was just the right color. Suddenly the potholder wasn’t about just the flowers, but their pollinators too.
Each flower on the linen had its name written below it. But I had to cut off most of the names to preserve most of the flowers. So I took a picture of the linen before I cut it up so I’d know what each flower was.
My Flower and Pollinator Potholders are $22 each + $5 shipping for one or more. You can see them all and buy them in my Etsy Shop, just click here.
