When Jon told me the Canada Geese were in the barnyard I went out to see if they had chicks with them. But I don’t think it was the couple that nest on the farm every year. They’ve been protecting a nest in the marsh.
These two took off when I got close. And the pigeons, who were probably eating the grass seed I put down, took off too.
There’s something inspiring about seeing all those birds in flight, their wings stretched wide. All of them taking off lifting off the ground at once.
