Along with working on my Sister Turtle and Raven Potholders, I also mixed the color paint that I’ll be using for the background behind the Raven on my fabric painting.
A lot of blue, a little yellow and some white. The color came easy, it was the consistency I struggled with. I had to get it just right so it didn’t bleed through too much, but just enough to stain the hand stitching on the old quilt and still leave some of it to chance.
I didn’t get to paint the backing today, but the sample above is what I’m looking for.
