As you can see in the photo above all my Ravens are different. Some are walking, some are standing, some are almost smiling. I’m still working on my Raven fabric painting, and right now have ravens all over my studio.
Like my Sister Turtle Potholders, I painted each one with fabric paint, then stitched them with my free-motionR sewing machine.
I have found that people feel strongly about both of these animals whether they are rescuing turtles or finding magic in ravens. They both showed up on the farm this summer, enough for me to pay attention and create their image.
Both my Raven Potholders and Sister Turtle Potholders are for sale in my Etsy Shop. They are about 8″x8″ and are $30 + $5 shipping for one or more. You can see them all up close and buy them here.
If you don’t like using Etsy, you can email me at [email protected]. I take checks, PayPal, and Venmo.

Hello Maria, I am an admirer of ravens too. I thought you could be interested in those two texts about ravens :
– Le Corbeau et le Renard (not very flattering for the raven …), which every French child learns by heart at school ;
http://lafontaine.mmlc.northwestern.edu/fables/corbeau_renard_fr.html
– and the three Ravens, an English traditional war song.

Voilà ! bonne lecture et bonne écoute.
