My Corner In The Living Room

I’ve taken over the chair in the corner of the living room.  It’s where I do my blogging, the little bookshelf next to me and my sail tank on top.  Usually here is a cup of tea of glass of wine perched on the pile of books.

I often look towards the window when I’m thinking.

There is a colorful afghan draped over the chair that I love to look at when I’m not sitting in it.  I always try to make sense of the placement of colors, but never can.  It keeps me looking.

  1. Maria, I’ve often wondered how long it takes you to do a sketch like this one. So many of your sketches have a lot of intricate details, so I’m just curious.

    1. I’m not exactly sure Barbara. Probably about a half hour I’d guess, but then I’ve never really paid attention to how long it takes.

  2. Maria, I love your sketches, they look like folk art to me. Do you think they would translate to potholders? Perhaps several could be selected and used to create a quilt? If there is a way to be creative with them, you’ll find it! 🙂
