A Day Of Books, Potholders and Hens

The Hens cleaning their feathers out my studio window

Between answering email from people who want to buy books and working on some new potholders, I’ve had a busy day.

I was going to go for a walk with a friend but I pulled a muscle in my back, probably in Bellydancing last night, and it acts up when I least expect it. Jon helped out with a back massage, bless him.  But other than that I stayed home and did as little physical activity as possible.

Last Sunday at the Farmer’s Market Debbie, who I  buy carrots, onions and beets  from, gave me a linen kitchen towel with chickens on it.  It had a few holes in it, but many of the hens were in great shape to be made into a Potholder.

That’s what I did today.

I started working on a new batch of Chicken Potholders.  Once again it was dark when I got done so could’t get a good picture.   But I’ll post some tomorrow when I finish sewing up my Hare and Moon Potholders, which I’ll be posting for sale in my Etsy Shop.

The hens were a pleasure to watch today as they sat outside my studio cleaning their feathers.  Here’s on more photo of them….
