The Blooming Moon

Out the back door,  down the steps and there was the moon.

At first it was only a lavender glow around the edge of the cloud covering it.  But as I watched, the moon emerged, a creamy light that mixed up the colors in the clouds that cradled her and made me question the time of day.

Not quite its full Flower Moon, I still smelled sweet purple when I saw it.

The lilacs and Pinkster are in full bloom.  Their smell saturates the night air and now it seems the sky too.

Imagine, I thought, all this going on and I was in the house.  I almost missed it.
