Memory Of Belonging….Just Needs A Border

I’m not finished, but got a lot of work done on my quilt Memory Of Belonging.  I began my day by piecing together the last big square for the quilt.  Which you can see in the photo above.

Then I played around with the pieces to see where they should go. I settled on the arrangement above with a few spaces to fill in.

When I left my studio, I had them all sewn together.  Now I need to add a bit more to the sides, top and bottom.  A thin border, made of more linens.  I’m thinking most of it will be whites or maybe some subtle embroidery.

I’ll have to look through my stash and see what I have that will work.  I still have plenty of linens to work with.  And I’m happy to say that Memory of Belonging is already sold.

I’m quitting early for Bellydancing class as I do every Wednesday.  We’re getting ready for a Bellydancing demonstration and workshop at the Manchester Library in Vermont at the end of the month.  Something similar to what we did at the McCollough Library in North Bennington last year.  We’ll do some dancing and then dance with the people who show up for the workshop.

I’m looking forward to it, I know it will be fun.
