Curators Of My Art

Sue’s Potholders

Sometimes when I make a potholder, I like the way it looks so much I wish it were a quilt.  But my quilts alway have more than seven or eight pieces of fabric in them.   I know in my heart they wouldn’t look the same if they were as big as a quilt.

So I see my Potholders as mini-quilts.

Some people use them as Potholders, and others hang them on their wall.  Either way they are an important part of my art, functional or otherwise.

Sue sent me the photo above of three of my Potholders she bought over the past couple of years.   I love seeing them all together, I can remember each piece of fabric.

Stephanie’s Potholder’s

In a way when I receive the photos many of you send me, it’s like looking at an exhibit of my work.   I don’t need a gallery.  Each home is a personal gallery and each of you the curator.

Stephanie sent me these two photos her  Potholders, on view to be seen and enjoyed, everyday.
