This is my second batch of Stories From Bedlam Farm Potholders. These are stories from the back porch, my studio and the barn swallow nest in the pole barn.
The two Potholders with images from the outside of my studio include the one or two hens, Ed Gulley’s Moon sculpture hanging from the eave, and the morning glory vines.
I realized when I was giving them titles to list them in my Etsy Shop how much I rely on all of you knowing not only the animals, but also the buildings and “things’ on the farm. You’ve seen them in Jon’s and my photos and videos, each part of the farm its own story.
My Stories From Bedlam Farm Potholders are $30 each + $5 shipping.
As most of you know I drew each one freehand using my free motion sewing machine. So each is an original drawing. You can see them all close-up and buy them in my Etsy Shop, just click here.
I thought of you and your twine sculptures the other day Maria, when I saw an article in the New York Times about art made with ghost net (fishing nets). I can’t find the article now to send you a link, but I did find some interesting information about art made from fishing debris found in the ocean, in case you’re interested.
