Fanny’s Hoof and Memory Of Belonging

Fanny

Matt our Farrier came this morning to work on Fanny’s hoof.  It turns out she had a puncture probably from a nail or piece of metal.  Matt scraped the damaged part of the hoof, put some ointment on it then wrapped it with nonstick bandage.

It will have to stay wrapped for the next two to three weeks.   The bandage will need to be replaced every few days because it wears off easily.  For the first week I’ll soak her hoof in epsom salt when I replace the bandage.  Matt suggested I wrap  Gorilla tape over the bandage to help it last a little longer.

This afternoon I  had time to work on Memory of Belonging.  I got most of the border sewed on, there’s just a small strip on the bottom left to do.  I’ll work on it again tomorrow, hopefully getting to the backing and batting too.
