I pulled the fabric off the line and sewed it together to make the backing for my quilt Memory Of Belonging. This morning I finished the front of the quilt and I was all ready to sew it all together and start tacking.
But when I pulled out my roll of batting there wasn’t enough. I’m usually good about making sure I have enough batting, but this time I misjudged how much was actually on the roll.
So I went online to see what I could find.
Once again Joann Fabric came through. They had a 20yard roll of cotton batting in stock. So now I’m off to Glens Falls to pick it up. It’s about an hour’s drive and it’s already after 6pm so I won’t be working on the quilt again tonight.
But I’ll be able to get to it first thing in the morning.
Memory of Belonging laid out on my studio floor with the front and back face to face, waiting for the batting.
