Notes From My Studio “Cradled By The Moon”

I can hear the thunder, a threat in the distance.  It’s confusing though, because the sun is so bright and the shadows like shallow pools to wade through.

I’m making Potholders called Cradled by the Moon. They are comforting, which is why I’m making them.

I’m in this strange place where I haven’t been for a long time, where it’s hard to make decisions.  I’m numb, uncomfortably numb.   It’s like being anesthetized, like a surrender. But not in the good way, not in the spiritual way.  Like a surrender of self.

It’s deadening, it’s too easy to stay here, in this space which is the aftermath of a panic attack.

It happened from going to the ear doctor. It doesn’t make sense, all he did was clean out my ears and give me some drops to put in them.  But that’s the truth of it.  My visit triggered something from my past.

So I’m piecing these Potholders together. As I have done so many time before.  Because it feels good,  as if I’m piecing my self back together.

  1. Maybe even something triggered from a past life. Would spend extra time touching the animals, plants, earth.
