Zips New Throne On The Gate Post With My Blue Bailing Twine

We’ve been having some work done on the house.  Mostly taking care of the places where the wood is rotting.  A  part of a sill replaced on the barn, the cedar shakes on the front porch and the gate post into the barn yard.

This is an especially important one.  The post would wobble like a loose tooth every time I opened the gate.  I was expecting it, at any moment, to topple to the ground.

A couple of weeks ago, Dan, who has been doing the work, put a new gate post in.  He secured it with cement and pieces of wood that connect it to the barn.

I asked him to save the slab of wood with my Blue Bailing Twine tied to it and he completely understood its importance.

Now the gate post has an 8×12″ platform that gives Zip plenty of room to sit comfortably.

This morning after chewing on some of the bailing twine and scratching his ears on the bone, he sat on his new throne surveying the farm around him.

  1. Can’t even imagine the farm without him now. Seems like he is everywhere all at once.
Would love more cards from his photos – maybe his favorite thrones! If you’re ever inclined to do that again I’ll order a bunch. I’m a “card addict” and have brightened many friends days with Zip’s help.
