Gathering Fabric For The Dancing Pear Quilt

Bluebirds or Dancing Fruit?  I was planning on Bluebirds, but when Lisa wrote and told me she was interested in both, I decided on the fruit first.

I think I could use a bit of silly right now.  So this afternoon I went through my linens and also pulled out the dancing pots.  They have a similar feeling to the fruit.  Then I went through my hankies and put aside all the ones that had simple bright flowers on them.  Along with one Calorie Counting hankie.

The last thing I did was add some of the faded flour sacks from my stash.   I’m not sure what else will go into it, or even if all of this will, but it’s a good place to start.

I didn’t get any further today than gathering fabric, but tomorrow I’ll start sewing.   I have an idea I’m going to begin with that dancing pear and the red striped linen around it.
