I had the Dancing Pear, Crying Onion and Steaming Pots all framed in fabric last week. Today I figured out where they would be in the quilt and added the fabric to fit them together.
More strips of my linen tablecloth, embroidered linens, embroidered hankies and flour sacks.

Even if the onion is crying and a pot or two look a bit concerned, working with those vintage hand-embroidered linens keeps me smiling.

And working in the smallest of details, like the tiny lady bugs, is a delight.

My Dancing Pear quilt is almost done. Next comes the fabric to surround it. Which will be more of the same.

Simply joyfulness.
Not a phrase I use often at all.
This really touches some lighthearted place in me
It’s just what I needed to be working on. I has brought me so much joy.
Oh, I Love it, Maria ! It will light up the room it lands in !

I love this quilt! It is so happy.
Yes Marianna! A lesson in happy for me as I make it. :)
Your fabric images make reference to the past in the nicest way, very special the way you are putting them together.
Ah, lovely, I like that Sharon. Thanks.
