The border for my Dancing Pear Quilt came easy. One embroidered table cloth cut into four pieces. The back of another printed table across the bottom. And some pieces of hankie to fill in the gaps.
The hardest part was the piece along the top.
But only because I didn’t know I had it. It was tucked away in the shelf that holds my smaller pieces of fabric. Buried and out of sight, until I filed though the pile of whites and tans and there it was.
Sometimes this kind of thing feels like magic.
Honestly, I don’t even remember this flour sack. Perhaps I’ve had it so long I forgot about it. Or maybe it is magic. It was just what I was looking for, just what I needed and after a bit of searching….there it was.
