Part of the fun of tacking a quilt is getting to see the small details and how they work in the quilt as a whole.
I sewed the backing and batting onto my Dancing Pear quilt this morning then started to tack it with white yarn.
I had another appointment with the ear doctor, so I didn’t get far with the tacking, but I’ll be able to finish it tomorrow.

I love to see the small embroideries from hankies and linens, fitting in so perfectly with one of my pieces. I cut four of these purple flowers from a linen I used in the last quilt I made Memory of Belonging.
They looked beautiful on the original embroidery, but I do like seeing them standing alone and holding their own.
