Fate never walks on my quilts when they are on my studio floor, but sometimes she walks under them when they are hanging from my ceiling for tacking.
I was sitting on the floor tying and clipping the yarn on the back of Dancing Pear when Fate showed up. She is always there, right around 3pm, to remind me when it’s time to let the sheep and donkeys out to graze.
Today I told her she had to wait, I wanted to finish tacking my quilt first.
She seems to get that too and goes back to sleep until I’m ready.

I did get all the tacking done, now I the only thing left to do is stitch the title of the quilt, my initial and the year on the bottom. Then send it off to Lisa.

This hankie and the flour sack fabric surrounding it reminds me of an envelope. There’s even some printing on the left side. Nothing legible, but a pattern that is suggestive of a postal mark.

I found just the right spot for this little grapevine linen.

I really love this quilt. Very soft looking and reminiscent of the past. I’m working on a handkerchief quilt but very different style. Your work is always so inspiring. Bravo for Lisa.
Oh lovely LoisJean, Enjoy making your quilt, I’d love to see a picture if you can send one.
