As gorgeous as the flower itself, this yellow crab spider looks to me like she’s meditating on the marigold.

I love that you take pictures of things I forget to look close at and then share them so I can remind myself to show down and pay attention. I think your photos are amazing!
I love that Bobbid!
That IS a gorgeous spider, Maria. She’s not a weaver of webs, apparently (from what I just read online), but she’s a work of art. I wonder if she was ready to pounce or in repose. So much beauty.
I did watch her until she moved Donna. She just put out her legs and walked away. But I bet you’re right, it is probably a position, being still, getting ready to pounce. Now you got me curious, I’ll have to look crab spiders more.
I can’t stop staring at the photo – the intense colors, the unfamiliar sight of this arachnoid looking like it’s in a state of total surrender, with slender legs open to the sky above. I’d love to see this framed and hung in a museum! Beautiful shot
Thanks!
Never saw a yellow spider but I am now prepared. Gorgeous picture
That yellow was amazing Sharon. And looked so beautiful on the marigold!
